Blue Sky Paper: Citizen-Centric Multiagent Systems

A new Blue Sky paper “Citizen-Centric Multiagent Systems” from the CCAIS team advocates for AI systems that place citizens at the centre of their design. Presented at the International Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems, it outlines an approach where citizens control their data and intelligent agents represent them. The paper discusses open challenges like learning preferences, providing incentives, ensuring fairness and enabling auditing. This is a call to action for the academic community to work on various aspects of Citizen-Centric Multiagent Systems. We see this an important community-building activity that will help to promote the research in the CCAIS project.
