We’re excited to announce that CCAIS researchers have won the Best Demonstration Award at the 24th International Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems (AAMAS 2025), the leading conference on multiagent systems.

In our demo “Serious Games for Ethical Preference Elicitation”, we explore how to better understand human ethical preferences to guide autonomous agents. We do this through an engaging rescue drone simulation, where, instead of traditional questionnaires, players make real-time decisions that reflect their ethical values. This allows us to build AI systems that are not only smart, but are also aligned with human values.

The demo was developed by Jayati Deshmukh and Zijie Liang, with guidance from Vahid Yazdanpanah, Sebastian Stein and Sarvapali (Gopal) Ramchurn.
